Month 5 Internet Marketing Blog Business Recap and Review
Each month I take time to review my site before the next month begins.
Since this is a monthly post I figured I would put some structure around it so it will be easy to update each month. Let me know what you think of my template. I still need to tweet this but it will work for now.
Lessons learned from last month that still hold true.
Lesson learned
TIP – ALWAYS LEARN AND TRYING NEW STUFF EACH MONTH ![]()
- Social and Peer Networking – Love this stuff
- STILL NEED TO WORK ON THIS! – Develop a better routine
- Social Bookmarking – This helps traffic stumble everything
- Blog Engage – Submit all you posts – Traffic increase
- Enter Contest = Helps Traffic & Builds Relationships
Making Money Online -Comment Contest -Free Custom Banners

State of Mind
Still Very good. Feel like I am getting in to a routine. Still trying to figure out a 10 hour work week. That is the goal averaging much more than that. My confidence level is pretty high and good feel like I am heading in the right direction and have a pretty good idea of what I need to do. I started to connect with a lot of cool people and that is always a good thing!
I have 2 pretty sure slam dunk deals for web design now I need to figure out what to charge and where to fit in the time but both should be a nice payday. Need to make sure it doesn’t effect or hurt what I have going on here. I am pretty sure it will only help.

Hi jared,
it’s nice to see blogengage has become part of your social networking routine. I’m really happy to know it’s genuinely helped you become a better blogger or even if it’s only increased your traffic.
Many people have started visiting and using blogengage I had to upgrade my server the site was running slow.
I like ho your re visiting your blog idea and concepts every month. This can potentially help you determine hat is working and what isn’t working.
I look forward to following you as we move forward in our online ventures.

Wow Everyone thanks for the feeback.
Keller thanks yes trust is key is this game I think I going to learn a lot from your site it has so much value glad I came accross it.
Brian, blogengage is a great place to connect with people looking forward to doing some ventures. I really love it when I find people that are so motivated and for all those out there that are younger then me. You inspire me.
Barbara, I always been about learning. I have made the statement I am always happiest when I am learning. So blogging and intermarketing is the perfect fit for me. I am a life learner and I think you have to be in today’s world.
Greg, yes numbers going up is always a good thing. I had a few set backs this month, 2 trips with not internet and my laptop died so I was falling behind but somehow the numbers still when up and I forgot to mention that my page rank moved to a 1 so I must be doing something right.
That is probably one of the most detailed wrap ups I have seen, wow you are growing your Twitter followers at lightning speed at this pace you will have 25,000 in no time.

I am visiting my fellow-nominees in the Best WordPress Design 2009 contest. You’ll find a blurb about your site in one of my post-tour briefings.
I’m very impressed with your content, and your personal and generous style of sharing. Thank you for showing us the monthly recap and review technique for better blogging. And thanks for mentioning BlogEngage. I will use this information for my own site development!
I also utilize a free theme, PrimePress. I like it very much, but almost feel silly being in the contest without a professionally designed site. Still, the contest is great fun and is stretching my horizons. I’m glad I discovered your site.

Thanks John, funny part about twitter is I worked at it for a month to hit 2000 so it looks like a good number and then havn’t done a thing other then tweet and unfollow. I guess I should share how I did it as it was probaly the easiest thing I have done.
AlaJoAnn, I am in the same boat didn’t really think my site would do well in the contest but figured it was a good oppertunity to meet some new people and get some traffic and so far it is working nice increase in traffic from it.
I was planning on doing a complete theme upgrade this month looks like I will wait till next month. Yes I entend to keep it real and be very open with sharing on this site as I think that what attracts people and is missing from a lot of make money online websites. So far it seems being real and hosest is gaining the respect of my readers which is what I want.
Thanks for sharing this, i learn a lot from it.

Jared… thanks for the link love. I am glad to see we are able to send you some traffic now and then. We must be doing something right
Your numbers seem to be going up, which is awesome. What is your secret to the Twitter growth? We are still really low in that department, but we are doing nothing really to promote it.

Nice interesting post, a good read, thanks.
Jared,
I love this post! You see so many bloggers boast about their great success and this is inspirational, but to see someone post their stats as they are starting our is very encouraging.
Thanks,
Brad
@Brad Harmon
Thanks Brad I like to keep it real. A lot of the the success stories you here about don’t. Really most people that have instant success the true is that wasn’t their 1st go at it. The have done other online things and learned the basics. Then they took a new idea or revamped an old idea did it right.
When starting new their just way to much to learn. As long as you continue to learn and make progress all is well. I like to do monthly reports cause it helps me track what I done each month. I like to share and will continue cause is seems to go over well and really it is an easy post now since I pretty much have a template for it.
